Part-time Sports Reporter Needed in Gainesville

The Gainesville Times is seeking a part-time sports assistant to complete their five-person sports staff. The job includes various clerical duties as well as some writing assignments. Aspiring journalism students or those with a background in the field are preferred, but we are willing to train capable candidates. Familiarity with AP style is a plus, and a broad knowledge of sports and sports terminology is absolutely required. While there is some schedule flexibility depending on the season, nights (6-11 p.m.) are required, typically Monday-Friday.
